Every first Thursday of the month I will share the books I have been reading the previous month.
It’s already October again so today I’m sharing the books I’ve been reading in September.
I don’t read as much as I used to do anymore. These days I only read in bed before I’m going to sleep. I wish I read more but there is just not enough time for anymore.
Because I’m reading less there are not as many books in a month I’m reading obviously. Last Month I only read two books.
How to be single by Liz
First I read ”How To Be Single” by Liz Tuccillo. No I don’t want to be Single but I like reading books what are filmed. I always need to read a book before I see the film otherwise I can’t be bothered reading the book anymore. Now I finished the book I can watch the film, still haven’t watched it yet.
About the Book
It’s about 5 friends who are actually all desperately looking for some kind of love or struggling with their love life.
Julie is going to travel round the world to do some inspiration for her new book she wants to write ‘’How to be Single’’. She wants to know what the secret is for other woman in all different countries how to be single. During her travel she struggles with love herself and her friends back home as well.
It wasn’t the most exciting book I’ve ever read. It was an easy book to read but the story wasn’t that page turning. It was quite hard to finish this book for me as it wasn’t that interesting. It’s a great book for when you’re on holiday and just want have something to read without thinking too much about it. I’m very curious to the film though as I’m actually wondering why they made a film of this book. Fingers crossed the film is better than the book.
All she ever wanted by Patrick Edmond
I never heard about this author before. A few months ago I bought 3 random books for only £5 for the 3 of them. The books they sold weren’t familiar to me. I read a few back pages of books and this book interested me very much so I decided to buy it.
About the book
Tina is abounded by her father her mother hates her for that and keeps on telling Tina it’s all her fault he left. She is ugly and useless. To make her youth even more hard she gets bullied at school. She has never felt being loved…
When she is older she has said goodbye to Tina and is Chrissie now. She has a successful job is beautiful and loads of people envy her because of her strong appearance. Man desire her.
Chrissie isn’t weak as she was before anymore she is strong now and has the control in her hands especially with man. Until love finally enters her life. She must keep control her feelings otherwise Tina might come back, her biggest fear.
This is a well written book. In the beginning it isn’t really page turning but halfway through it definitely is. It’s a hypnotic psychological thriller. It really gets you while you’re reading. You feel for the characters and it gives me sometimes a funny feeling in my stomach. That’s exactly what I want when I’m reading a book. It’s for me reason that I’m really in the book and can myself place into the characters.
I’m a happy ever ending type of person. Even that this is a psychological thriller I wished for a happier ending. I so hoped Chrissie and Jack would get together in the end. The way Patrick wrote the little love affair they had made me feel they belonged together. It was complicated but they would have worked things out together.
I wasn’t expecting how everything turned out for Chrissie. It was good that the book had a twitch what I wasn’t expecting that makes it more exciting to read. I hoped it all turned out different for Chrissie. I actually felt sorry for her in the end. Her dream did come through though but the way how she expected it.
What books have you been reading the last month? Let me know in a comment.
