A week later then planned the ‘October Books’ post is online. I’ve read two amazing books in October. More about those amazing books I’m telling bellow.
Girl on a Train – A.J Waines
This book I’ve actually read by ‘mistake’. We choose this book for the book club but the lady who recommend this book said afterwards that she actually meant The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. I already bought the other book so I still wanted to read that book and I’m glad I’ve read this book as it’s a brilliant book.
About the Book
A normal train journey turns out into a nightmare. It looked like suicide but Anna saw her face and she knows what suicide looks like as her husband killed himself years ago. Elly left a locket in Anna’s bag before she jumped onto the tracks. Anna starts asking awkward questions but the police closes the case at they are convicted it was suicide. Anna doesn’t let go about it and thinks Elly’s dead has something to do with her nephew Toby who went missing 6 months ago. Anna starts her own investigation. The more she digs into this crime to more she get’s to know about all sorts of things. Is Anna putting herself in danger?
I loved reading this book from the beginning. From the start it was exciting to read as something immediately happened. Definitely a page turning book.
The book was brilliant but I’m not to happy how everything turned out. When the plot was revealed I though ‘ohh is this it?’ I was expecting something more interesting to happen. The whole book was exciting and interesting so the end could have been more exciting as well.
But all together it was a great book and I would highly recommend it.
I Let You Go – Clare Mackintosh
About the Book
A terrible car accident happens and a 5 year old boy dies. Jenna’s life is changed forever. She runs away to the seaside in Wales to start over her life again. It seems like she is finally putting her past behind but then BAM… a brilliant and exciting twist happens. I’m not going to say more about this story as I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
I can’t get over how good this book is. The book has two parts. It starts of a bit slowly in part one. Nothing really exciting happens in this part so I knew something needed to happened otherwise there was no way this book could have so many pages. Eventually something did happened but I didn’t expect this amazing twist to happen. I was confused first and eager to know what actually happened and how it would turn out in the end. So from part two it was very hard to put the book down as I couldn’t stop reading it. Part two made definitely up for part one.
When I thought the end was coming of this book and everything had kind of a happy ending another brilliant twist came along. OMG… that’s what I thought. Clare Mackintosh did a brilliant job on keeping the book exciting to read.
I would highly recommend this book. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read.
For next month I made a challenge for myself to read 3 books instead of 2 as I really like to read more books again. Let’s wait and see for next month if I completed my challenge.
