The last few weeks I bought a couple of new books some of them I’ve already finished reading but it made me thing why I didn’t made a book haul for on blog. So that’s what I’m doing now. Today I’m sharing the latest 3 books I bought recently.
The Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman
By the time this post comes online I probably have finished reading this book as well. My opinion etc. about the book you can read next month in my ‘November Books’ post.
I got this book as I’m dying to go and see the movie but as I told before I always need to read a book first before I see the movie otherwise I can’t be bothered reading the book anymore and I found it worth it to definitely read this book as it’s such a great book and film as I have to believe all the reviews and stories about it.
A boat washes up on the shore of a remote lighthouse keeper’s island. It holds a dead man – and a crying baby. The only two islanders, Tom and his wife Izzy, are about to make a devastating decision. They break the rules and follow their hearts. What happens next will break yours.
Can I Let You Go? by Cathy Glass
When I was in the book shop I saw the cover of this book and it reminded me about Oliver he wears often striped tops as well and when he was a new born baby he used to sleep like the baby on the cover on me like that. Then I read the title of the book and that almost made me cry already and as soon as I read the back of the book I really had to struggle to keep it dry in the shop. I was for sure that I needed to get this book and so I did.
Faye came into my life at a very sad time in our lives. My dear father had recently passed away and we were all struggling to come to terms with his loss. I’d taken a short break from fostering, but when I was told about Faye I felt we needed to help. But how do you prepare a mother to say goodbye to her child? I had no idea.
The reason I really want to read this book is because the question ‘How do you prepare a mother to say goodbye to her child?’ grips me so much as I can’t imagine in a billion of years to ever have to say goodbye to Oliver. (Of course I’m not talking about a goodbye when I go to work or something else).
How To Find Love In A Book Shop by Veronica Henry
Not really a long story to tell why I like to read this book as I choose this book because it’s just a feel good book to read and something I like reading books like this to read.
Emilia has just returned to her idyllic Cotswold hometown to rescue the family business. Nightingale Books is a dream come true for book-lovers, but the best stories aren’t just within the pages of the books she sells – Emilia’s customers have their own tales to tell.
There’s the lady of the manor who is hiding a secret close to her heart; the single dad looking for books to share with his son but who isn’t quite what he seems; and the desperately shy chef trying to find the courage to talk the her crush…
And as for Emilia’s story, can she keep the promise she made her father and save Nightingale Books?
I’m very curious to what books you recently have bought and if you have any recommendations for me please let me know in a comment.
