Last Friday Kelly from http://www.kellycaresse.nl/ a Dutch blogger/vlogger did a mommy tag on her YouTube channel and I liked that idea so I answered the same questions for my blog.
Below you can read the answers I gave to the questions of the ‘mommy tag’.
Are you a working mom or a stay at home mom?
I am a stay at home mom but currently looking for a job.
Would you prefer to have it different?
Yes and no. First of all I’m very grateful that I’m able to be around Oliver so much but I do like to get a job to get out the house and have some more adult conversations then only the baby talk and of course the extra pennies will be very helpful as well.
My child sleeps always in his own bed?
At the moment Oliver’s sleep is a disaster. He starts of in his bed but ends up later in our bed because he wakes up and whatever we do he doesn’t settle down any more and only goes to sleep next to us.
We are trying to get him back to sleep in his own bed for the whole night with a more structured bedtime routine.
Soon I’ll write an update if his sleeping has improved, fingers crossed it will.
The best buy for your child?
We are not using it anymore but when Oliver still had his formula milk we bought a Tommy Tippee prep machine.
I would highly recommend this to everyone. The milk is ready in two minutes and its immediately at the right temperature. Especially ideal in the middle of the night.
How many kids do you wish to have?
I’ve always said I liked to have three kids but for now I first want to see how it will be with two kids and then we’ll talk about maybe a third child. So if we’re blessed to have any more kids we will definitely try for a second child.
Date Night (an evening out with only your partner)? How often every week/month?
I think the last time Andy and I had a date night was last June. Definitely time to plan a date night soon again.
Favourite activity of your child?
Oliver is into cars lately especially playing with the wheels he likes. He also loves music he is hypnotised when he hears some music. I’m looking forward to take him to a music class this Friday for the first time I’m sure he will love it.
Have you done a bad buy when you were pregnant?
I did, I bought a bath seat for Oliver but we only used it a handful of times. You could only fill up the bath at a certain height otherwise the bath seat would move because of that Oliver was hardly in the water and I didn’t like that so I preferred to hold him myself so he could stay warm in the water.
What’s your child’s favourite food?
That’s a hard question as he loves a lot of food but he really likes his breakfast, Weetabix are a big hit but he also loves egg on toast and grapes are a big favourite as well.
Have you purchased a bigger family car?
We only got our first car a few month ago. It’s not a big family car but we did specific look for a slightly bigger car so we’re apple to put the pram in the boot.
Is your weight more or less than before you had a child?
When I just had Oliver my weight was less than before my pregnancy but unfortunately I’m back to my weight what I had before I got pregnant so I’m actually still the same as before.
What’s your dream holiday with your kid(s)?
I don’t see it as a holiday but more as a trip but we’re planning to take Oliver to Disneyland Paris when he is about 4 years old. I’m really looking forward to that.
What has changed in your life since you’re a mom?
That I’m not as often buy clothes for myself anymore as before, now I almost all the time come back home with new clothes for Oliver as he really needs to have them of course (ahum).
But without joking actually almost everything has changed in a positive way though. You’re not only responsible for yourself anymore but also for a tiny human. Everything is about your child with everything you do, you can’t even go to the toilet anymore without company haha.
My heart melts when ……
Oliver says Mama. I thought it would only melt my heart the first time he said it but honestly it makes me emotional every single time he says it. I love it.
Where do you buy the nicest kids clothes?
Next, Zara and H&M are my favourite shops to buy clothes for Oliver but I also love Primark and George (Asda).
I always like to read other moms experiences so if you like you can answer the questions in the comments or on your own blog of course.
