Next week I’m starting a new topic on my blog. The new topic is called ‘Birth Stories’. As it already says you can read stories about birth from all different people.
I’m introducing this new topic to my blog as I’m fascinated with the whole progress of being pregnant and giving birth. From a very young age I was interested in this. I can remember watching TV programs with my mom about births etc. and I’d liked to pick books about pregnancy at the library. I also gave several presentations about it in school.
When I was pregnant with Oliver I got only more interested in it, I finally could experience myself what it was all about. After experienced being pregnant and giving birth myself I wanted to know more about it (maybe I should have studied dt be a midwife ha ha). I think it will always be something I’m very interested in even after I’m done having kids myself. The whole thing is just something wonderful and impressive in my opinion. It keeps fascinating me how a tiny human can grow in our bodies and that we woman have to power to give birth to that tiny human.
When I was in the same hospital as where I gave birth to Oliver a few weeks ago I was reliving Oliver’s birth again (for the 10.000 time) but it was (luckily) the first time I was back there after Oliver’s birth so I was overwhelmed with emotions. While I was waiting in the big entrance to be picked up again I saw several newly parents go home with their new-born baby. It made me so curious about their birth story. How their thoughts were about it, how they experienced it etc etc. That brought me to the idea to ask other moms to share their birth stories on my blog.
Oliver is already 16 months old and I haven’t shared my own story yet so I’m starting of with sharing my story next week.
For this new topic I’m looking for more stories. If your interested in sharing yours (can also anonymous) send me then an email (firstname.lastname@example.org)
